District Pinewood Derby Info In!!!

We all know (hopefully!) that our pack is running our pinewood derby on March 24.  If your son has his car done sooner (because they should all be started by now, right?!) he has the chance to "test run" it at the Massasoit District Pinewood Derby.  This is an event sponsored by our council to get the boys in our district together and have some fun!!!  This event will be held on...

1-4pm (check in starts at 1, races begin at 1:30)

Cost is $5 per car (this includes a patch!)

Being held at the East Brookfield Elementary School (on Rt. 9)

Each race is made up of boys of the same rank, so bears race bears, tigers race tigers, etc.  Trophies are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each rank.  The fastest time overall gets the right to take home the HUGE district trophy!!!  We had this trophy 3 years ago....time to win it back!!!  It's a great way to have some extra pinewood fun and also a good way to test your sons car.  If he finds that it doesn't go well during the district races, he has time to tweak it before the Pack 118 race.  All district race rules are the same as ours which can be found at the link to the right.  They will have a small concession stand with refreshments for sale.
